This in-service provides participants with information regarding ethical practices and how to tie testing results
to therapy and services. Emphasis is placed on the Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education and includes
in-depth guidelines for developing and selecting tests; procedures for following administration and scoring
guidelines; evaluating standardized tests; and developing follow-up treatment plans.

- Explain the importance and purpose of the Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education
- Identify several guidelines test developers and test users should follow when selecting appropriate testing
instruments
- Identify procedures test developers and test users should use when administering and scoring tests
- Explain multiple factors that should be addressed by test developers and test users when reporting and
interpreting test results
- Evaluate a standardized language testing instrument by referencing the Code of Fair Testing Practices in
Education Guidelines
- Develop a therapy plan based on results obtained from a standardized testing measure and additional
sources of information
- Describe several therapy tools to use based on testing results presented, and tie testing results to therapy
and services
