The therapists that attended (DVD course for groups) have had nothing but glowing things to
say and have all agreed that this is a beneficial workshop for all teachers who currently or
may work with autistic students in the future.
Thank you so much for providing this vital service to clinicians everywhere.
I have already recommended your courses to the other SLPs in my building and will make sure to
bring it up at our next system wide meeting. I have completed the Online Courses
and two of the Source Courses you offer. They were informative, well designed,
and relevant to my work both as an adjunct professor and as an elementary school speech-language
pathologist. The courses you offer are so very relevant to the day-to-day issues
faced in practice as well as provide up-to-date information on current trends.
Do I have to be a member of LinguiList™ to participate?
Yes. LinguiSystems’ FREE CEU Program™ is one of the many benefits of
LinguiList™ membership.
What is the difference between CEUs and the course hours? How does this relate to CEEs?
Course length is reported differently by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the
Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA).
ASHA uses the internationally recognized Continuing Education Unit (CEU) as the standard unit of measuring participation in a continuing education course. One (1.0) CEU is defined as 10 hours of participation in coursework. Therefore, a single hour of participation in a course is equal to 0.1 CEUs.
CASLPA’s Continuing Education Equivalent (CEE) is based on clock hours; a one-hour course is equal to one CEE.

How do I get my CEUs listed in the ASHA Registry or show proof of CASLPA CEEs earned?
LinguiSystems corresponds with ASHA within six weeks of your completion date and sends all necessary
paperwork to them.
If you are a member of the ASHA CE Registry, LinguiSystems will report your CEUs if you provide us with your ASHA membership number. Without this number, you will not receive CEU credit from ASHA.
CASLPA accepts the LinguiSystems completion certificate as proof of completion of CEEs. You are responsible for sending proof of CEEs when audited by CALSPA. If you would like additional information about CEEs, please contact CASLPA at 1-800-259-8519 or go to www.caslpa.ca.
