Ordering

  1. How Do I Order?

    You can place your order 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!  Shop online anytime!  Call us at 800-776-4332.  Fax us at 800-577-4555.  If you experience any difficulty with these toll-free numbers, call (309) 755-2300 or fax us at (309) 755-2377.  Our website accepts credit card orders (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). Our customer care department will also accept purchase orders from U.S. and Canadian businesses or schools.  Terms are net 30, please remit in US dollars.

  2. What Are Your Shipping Charges?

    Shipping is free on all regular shipments in the 50 states and Canada, and on APO/FPO orders.  Unfortunately, we cannot extend the free shipping offer to other international orders, bookstore orders, or express service orders.  Shipping charges for overseas delivery vary depending on order weight and destination.  At checkout you may choose either Priority Mail International or Express Mail International;  shipping charges are displayed before you submit the order.  If an express shipment option is selected the UPS charge for that service will be added to your total.

  3. What About Sales Tax?

    6.75% sales tax will be added to non-exempt orders shipping to Illinois destinations.  No other states are charged sales tax.  5% GST will be added to non-exempt orders shipping to Canadian destinations, or 13% GST/HST where applicable.

  4. How Long Will It Take to Receive My Order?

    Orders received Monday through Friday before 4:00 PM CST are shipped the same day (3:30 PM for express services.)  Most orders arrive within 2-4 business days in the United States and 5-7 business days in Canada.  Overseas orders may take anywhere from 2 to 21 days, depending on destination and your choice of service.

  5. How Do You Ship?
    United States

    All orders shipping within the 50 United States are shipped UPS.

    Express shipments

    The following express UPS services are available in the continental United States only.  The UPS charge for such services will be added to your total.

    Next Day Air: Delivered by noon the business day after shipment
    2nd Day Air: Delivered by 5 PM two business days after shipment
    3 Day Select: Delivered by the end of the third business day after shipment

    Note that weekends and UPS holidays are not business days, e.g., a Next Day Air order shipped on Friday will arrive on Monday.  Our shipping department is not open on weekends or holidays, e.g., a Next Day Air order placed on Saturday will ship on Monday and arrive on Tuesday.

    We need to receive an express shipment order before 3:30 PM CST to ensure shipment that same day.  Express shipment orders received after that time will ship the next business day.

    APO/FPOs

    All orders are shipped US Postal Service.

    Canada

    All orders are shipped USPS.  We are required by Revenue Canada to collect either 5% GST or 13% GST/HST where applicable.  Customs brokerage charges are 5% of merchandise total ($5 minimum to $50 maximum).  An extended area surcharge of $25 applies to postal codes X0A-X9Z and Y0A-Y9Z.

    Other Countries

    You may choose either Priority Mail International or Express Mail International at checkout.  Prices for each are based on the weight of your order and shown on the second page of checkout 

  6. Do you sell gift certificates?

    Yes.

    Buying Gift Certificates

    Gift Certificates may be purchased by phone by calling 800 776 4332 between 8 AM and 6 PM CST, or online. Gift Certificates may be purchased for any amount.

    Gift Certificate buyers may opt for either an email or hard copy version of the certificate.  If you select email we will send the certificate as a PDF file to your email address.  If you select Hard Copy we will send a printed certificate by regular mail to any shipping address you specify.

    Gift Certificate orders received Monday through Friday before 4:00 PM CST will be emailed or mailed the same day.  Gift certificate orders received after hours will be emailed or mailed the next business day.  Most mailed certificates will arrive within 2-5 business days in the United States and 5-7 business days in Canada.

    Redeeming Gift Certificates

    Gift Certificate dollars may be redeemed by providing the Gift Certificate number and the amount you wish to redeem at the time you place your order.  Simply include this information on fax and mail orders, give the information to our Customer Care representative on phone orders, or provide it when prompted at Checkout on web orders.

    You may redeem all or part of the value of a Gift Certificate on a given order.  Unused Gift Certificate dollars expire one year from the date of purchase.

  7. I live outside of the United States.  How can I order your products?

    You can order by mail, phone, fax, or web or from the following distributors:

    Canada

  1. Do you really mean Lifetime Product Guarantee™?

    We want you to have materials you can use.  That’s why we offer a Lifetime Product Guarantee™ on our products.  There is no time limit.  If for any reason you don’t like the product you ordered or it just doesn’t meet your needs, please feel free to return it at any time.  We can issue a refund, credit your account, or suggest an exchange. We’ll even pay return shipping.  Just call 800-776-4332 to get your return shipping label.

  2. How do I Return a Product?

    To return an item, simply follow the easy instructions on the back of your packing slip indicating how you would like us to handle your return.  It’s that easy!  Enclose the packing slip and mail your return to:

Catalog

  1. How do I get on your print catalog mailing list?

    You can call us at 800-776-4332, write us at service@linguisystems.com, or click on the Get Our Catalog page and complete the form.  We’ll mail you a current catalog and put you on the list for future mailings.  LinguiSystems does not rent or sell its mailing list.

  2. How do I get off your print catalog mailing list?

    We do purchase names and addresses from reputable mail list companies.  If you’re currently receiving one of our catalogs, it’s because you are currently in our database OR we purchased your name and address from a mail list company. If you don’t want to receive future mailings from us, please call us at 800-776-4332 between 8 AM and 6 PM CST.  Please have all the information from the back cover of your catalog handy.  We must have all this information to process your request, including catalog codes.  Better yet, simply mail or fax us the entire back cover of the catalog with a phone number where we can reach you, or use our online form.  We’ll see that you do not receive mailings from us in the future.

    Please be aware, though, that mailing lists for a given mailing are finalized weeks ahead of the physical mailing.  We might receive your request after your name has already been drawn for our next mailing.  If that is the case, you will receive one more mailing from us before your de-list request becomes effective.  But that will be the last one!

    If you’re concerned about privacy and want to remove your name from ALL mail lists, you can contact the Direct Marketing Association consumer information hotline at (212) 768-7277.

Special Requests (Desk Copies, Product Donations, Translations)

  1. I would like to use a product as a text for a college class I teach. What is your policy for desk copies?

    We would be happy to provide a desk copy of a book that is used as a required text in your college course.  Just send us a request on your college letterhead.

  2. Does LinguiSystems donate products?

    We do donate products for door prizes and giveaways to be used at state LD and Speech conferences.

  3. I’d like to translate a LinguiSystems product into another language. What should I do?

    Send us your request in writing.  We do not allow any tests to be translated.  Most requests to translate products for your own personal use will be granted.  Contact us for information about distributing your translations of any of our products.  Please keep in mind that our materials are based on Standard American English, and any references to curriculum are based on standard curriculum in the American public schools.  We ask that you be sensitive to the cultural differences and needs of your students when using the translated materials.

  1. What is the LinguiSystems University Connection® Program?

    Through the University Connection® Program, LinguiSystems periodically provides FREE products and catalogs for the students’ clinical library.  These products enable SLP students to use LinguiSystems products as they complete their clinical training.

  2. How can I include my university in your University Connection® Program?

    E-mail the name of your university and your faculty contact person’s name and e-mail address to service@linguisystems.com.  A LinguiSystems representative will contact you for more information needed to make the shipments.

LinguiSystems' Copyright Policies

Our position on reproducing our copyrighted materials is in accordance with current copyright laws and standard business practices for educational publishing and in consideration of our authors’ rights and protection of their fine works.

The following outlines our position:

Reproducible Materials
LinguiSystems grants to individual teachers and other individual professionals the limited right to reproduce and distribute copies of materials that LinguiSystems so specifies.  You will find this information in the copyright statement on the title page of each product.

If a product has been classified as “reproducible,” only the individual owner of the product may copy the specified pages as instructed for use with his/her caseload.  If a school, school district, rehabilitation facility, or other business owns the product, it may not be shared among colleagues.  The organization must own one copy of the product for each individual professional who wishes to photocopy pages from it.  Furthermore, all usage must be for non-commercial, face-to-face, individual, group, or classroom instruction, and all photocopies must include LinguiSystems’ copyright notice.  Usage by one individual professional at a school or business may transfer to another person if the original individual is no longer an employee of that organization.

While individual use by a sole teacher or professional is granted, any other reproduction or distribution of our reproducible products is prohibited, including copying an entire product to use as another primary source or “master” copy.

LinguiSystems’ reproducible materials may be included in a school or business library or resource room, as long as the materials are used only for reference.  The school or business may not allow individual professionals to photocopy pages from these library copies.

Non-reproducible Materials
LinguiSystems reserves all rights to these materials, including but not limited to, test manuals and test forms, cards, games, software booklets, and other non-reproducible books and materials.  You may not reproduce these works or portions thereof in any form, including copying the entire product to use as another primary source or “master” copy.  In addition, if a school, school district, rehabilitation facility, or other business owns the product, it may not be shared among colleagues.  The organization must own one copy of the product for each individual professional who wishes to use it.  Furthermore, all usage must be for non-commercial, face-to-face, individual, group, or classroom instruction.  Usage by one individual professional at a school or business may transfer to another person if the original individual is no longer an employee of that organization.

LinguiSystems’ non-reproducible materials may be included in a school or business library or resource room, as long as the materials are used only for reference.

Interactive Software
LinguiSystems grants to individual teachers and other individual professionals the limited right to use our interactive software materials.  Only the individual owner of the interactive software may use it with his/her students or clients.  If the software is equipped with an installation feature, the individual owner may install it on multiple machines and at multiple locations for his/her own use.

If a school, school district, rehabilitation facility, or other business owns the software, one copy of the software must be purchased for each individual professional who wishes to use it.  If the software is equipped with an installation feature, the installation may be handled in one of two ways:

Individual user license – Interactive software may be installed on multiple machines at a school or other business, provided access to the software is only available to a sole individual professional for use with his/her caseload.
Multi-user license – Interactive software may be stored on a multi-user network to be accessed by several professionals, provided the school or other business has purchased an individual copy of the software for each individual professional user (even if only one instance of the software will be installed on the network to be accessed by several professional users).

Furthermore, copying an interactive software CD-ROM is prohibited, except for making a single backup copy.

Click and Create™ Software
LinguiSystems grants to individual teachers and other individual professionals the limited right to use our Click and Create software programs.  Only the individual owner of the Click and Create software may use it with his/her students or clients.  The individual owner may install the software on multiple machines and at multiple locations for his/her own use.

If a school, school district, rehabilitation facility, or other business owns the Click and Create software, one copy of the software must be purchased for each individual professional who wishes to use it.  Installation of the software may be handled in one of two ways:

Individual user license – Click and Create software may be installed on multiple machines at a school or other business, provided access to the software is only available to a sole individual professional for use with his/her caseload.
Multi-user license – Click and Create software may be stored on a multi-user network to be accessed by several professionals, provided the school or other business has purchased an individual copy of the software for each individual professional user (even if only one instance of the software will be installed on the network to be accessed by several professional users).

Copying a Click and Create software CD-ROM is prohibited, except for making a single backup copy.  Furthermore, it is unlawful to use images or templates included on Click and Create software programs to create materials for resale or distribution outside your immediate educational setting (N/A to Click and Create Easy Scheduler software).

Future Books™
Future Books CD-ROMs contain primarily reproducible pages and are protected by the copyright policies for Reproducible Materials (above), with the following additions.  It is unlawful to make a copy of a Future Books CD-ROM, share it with a colleague, or store its content on any hard drive or on a multi-user network.

CDs of Reproducible Pages
For four years, we included free CDs of reproducible pages in our workbooks.  After an exhaustive and thorough examination of data, we learned that these CDs were being duplicated in ways that violate the copyright laws.  In order to better protect the fine work of our authors, we are no longer including these free CDs in our therapy books.  If you or a school, school district, rehabilitation facility, or other business owns a copy of a workbook that includes a CD of the reproducible pages, legal use of the reproducible pages on the CD is reflected in the Reproducible Materials information above.  In addition, you may not sell the CD separate from the book, share the CD with a colleague, make a copy of the CD, or store its content on a multi-user network.
