Test Purpose
The TAPS-3 measures how a student processes auditory information that pertains to the cognitive and communicative aspects of language.  It is intended to be used along with other tests as part of a battery.

Testing Time

Test Procedure
Begin by administering the optional Auditory Figure-Ground Subtest on the CD to determine if the student has sufficient attentional and hearing capability.  Proceed to Subtest 1 Word Discrimination and administer the items.


Examiner Qualifications
The TAPS-3 can be administered and interpreted by speech-language pathologists, audiologists, special education and resource teachers, and other clinicians who are knowledgeable about a child's use of auditory information.
